Class gaining momentum.
Sth Qld Championships, National Invitation Event. Qld State Titles are all planned and with the addition of some new clubs, the class is set for a positive future. Face book pages are appearing for different clubs and groups, so social media exposure has helped in this growth.
There is talk about setting up an Australian Class Association to run and coordinate future National events.and this will happen in time. The class has one problem which is both negative and positive, and it is its popularity.
Owners just love sailing their boats with their local groups. So how do we get them to travel to new venues and meeting new sailors.
One question keeps popping up and it is the one of insurance.
Unless your club or group is affiliated to your state radio sailing authority you will not be cover when running or competing in an event. In NSW the cost is about $5 a head. Well worth it when you consider the coverage.
Here is an updated list of clubs and contacts as of the 1st March 2017.
The follow owners had agreed to act as a contact person for information on the class, clubs where sailed and general information requested by owners.
Australia is a very big place so if you are in an area where you would like to support the establishment of the great little class just drop us a line.
